This poor blog has been ignored long enough...

November has come and gone...

People go on as ever...

Well there's the fact that it's almost Christmas...

But still people are more or less the same...

Why?

Why isn't the "'spirit of Christmas" kept all year?

Why are we only "good" *cough* at Christmas?

Why do we feel closer to our families and friends at this time of year?

Could there be a connection between the Joy we feel and the way we behave at this time of year?

Thoughts?

Bugs, Beds, and Babies

ohhhhhh k. Our new house is very awesome =) it's quite big and spacious, but as always when in new houses, you have bugs =) (WARNING: the faint hearted should skip this part)

so far we have found numerous bugs, some of them with more or less than 6 legs. (the most interesting one wasn't a bug at all) but so as not to gross you all out, I will stop being EXTREMELY weird.

beds.... hum it's..... interesting. :P we have plenty that's for sure, but us girls like hanging out and have mini spend the night parties. The first few days were a little crazy, to say the least. but moving on...

Babies... =) the new one is doing extremely well. She's started smiling now and it's sooo cute.

I'm done rambling - it's late (if you can tell.)

First Post on this Side of the Water

HIIIIII to EVERYONE!

I have Finally moved! it's been less than a week and we're still settling in to our house. We're also about to start school (don't know exactly when yet but probably some time this week or next). We're seeing what's all here in our new city and seeing what we'll be able to do as extra curricula stuff. so yeah. that is what I'm up to. And trying to figure out my schedule so I can study with my lab partner, friend, gal- which means school will really start and I can go back to hatching plots at school :) My school is awesomeer than your school... :)

yes we are moving to the hotel in 2 days. 4 days in the hotel then it's time. There's less than a week now. You should all be scared or excited =P

Harmony

So some of you know that I love singing :) And those of you who talk to me regularly, know that I do it ALL the time (and it doesn't matter if it's the appropriate time or not). I randomly break into random song at a random times and the song has nothing to do with anything, anywhere.

So with that being said, I have started trying some harmony lately. The songs that I regularly listen to, I have mostly got down. But when it comes to hymns.... I fail. See when singing hymns(in harmony), you try to sing quietly so as not to A) disturb the person next to you. B) utterly mess up the song. C) so that when you do mess up and go off key, no one knows....

The problem with this is A) you can't even hear your self. B) you don't even know when your singing it RIGHT. C) no one hears anything, including your self.

But then if you DO sing louder, the *headdesk* and *facepalm* is what occurs after the hymn is over. A) because you end up disturbing the person next to you (and then no one wants to sit by you ever again). B) the song IS ruined in everyones mind (possibly including yours). C) everyone in that room (and probably the next) can hear you and it just sounds ~awful~ when someone goes off key *makes lemon face*

So enough complaining. I guess I'll just have to stick with singing to what I know until I can go some where were ~no one~ can hear me and practice there =D

New Post - Finally

This is a Good Bye to my city and the people in it. Although I plan to write one more time while we're here, I'm just starting early - for once.

Good Bye to...

~My very polluted and hot city. Your people are the nicest in the world but you should hire a new traffic and road manager. :)

~My friends from the one and only Home School Group. Some of us are off to new places, and some of us aren't homeschooling anymore. I will miss yall... let's keep visiting each other though.

~All my other friends that I've met at camp, conferences, and other random places. There are too many to name you all :D

~All the adults who have put up with me for the last 9-ish years :) hehe

All you people who are in the U.S, Here I Come! ready or not :)

Crazy Cake

Me and my sister Ruth have made "fake birthdays" for some of the people in our family and this is the cake that we have used :) everyone has said it was really good

Crazy Cake

3 T. cocoa

1 1/2 c. flour

1 c. sugar

1/2 tsp. salt

1 T. vinegar

6 T. oil

1 c. water

1 tsp. vanilla

Mix and bake in oblong cake pan (I still don't really know what that is) at 350º until done.

Frosting:

1/2 c. butter

1 c. sugar

1/4 c. milk

1 T. vanilla

2 T. cocoa

Mix in saucepan, bring to boil and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and beat until creamy. Pour over baked cake. Add nuts and marshmallows, if desired.

I then stick it in the refrigerator and let the frosting harden, but if it doesn't (for whatever reason) turn out right, remember that some of the best cakes are delicious messes :)

I now have 4 sisters =) She has blue eyes and red curly hair. She was 8lbs and 5oz and 21 inches long. She is quite epic! :)

ok so i figured it was time to update the blog 'cause it's been a while...

this is what i've been up to

1. i'm still waiting for my little sister to get here...

2. one of my sisters and I held a mock trial and my other sisters were the jury (mom was the judge and yes i was the "bad guy")

3. my sisters and i did an informal debate... (which was so much fun)

4. we went to a meeting today and got to see some of our friends

5.i've been packing up my room so it's kinda a mess right now =)

that is all.... my life is so interesting right? hehe :)

hi yall =)

i have to write something that goes with my title so here goes...

Mara, Daughter of the Nile

is a book i just finished reading for the second time. I bought it after a girl (no not some random one of the street) recommended it to me. It is now one of my all time favorites. It is about Mara, a slave, who is made a spy for a pharaoh (who has a long name that i'm not gonna spell), but then things get complicated when she is also made a spy for a rebellious group who plan to over throw the pharaoh. This book is quite epic and i think it's a really good read. so yeah, go read it if you haven't...

is tomorrow, which is why I need to go to bed earlier(ish) tonight. (it's already 10:33... so early)

yeah so anyways.... i WAS going to take about this stuff in a lot more depth but as i said, i need to get off my computer...

Camp and 4th of July

okay. SO I went to camp a few weeks ago with 2 of my sisters. I got to see some of the people from my online school. I took all of like 4 pictures (go me) :) We only stayed a week, which passed by in a very short time. I tipped a sail boat over (my friend and I saved it though) and we didn't die or anything. I also went kayaking, which is a lot of fun. On the bus back home, I was the oldest, so I got to hold all the tickets and make sure no one got lost or died. Fortunately, no one decided to die or get lost, which was good. :)

Then comes the 4th of July party which was held on the 2ed of July :) welcome to my confusing life! It went well and we had a cook out and went swimming. One of my sisters got a good sunburn on her face and shoulders, the rest of us just got slightly burned, or tanned. I hope all of you had a good 4th of July.

First post ever lol

HI yall :)

so as this is my first post, I suppose I should tell you a little about me before I get to much in to detail or whatever =) (get used to the smilies lol) (a lot of yall may already know this stuff =P )

OOOK so i have lived overseas for a while now, but will be moving back to the U.S soon. Living overseas is an experience in and of it self and i would highly recommend everyone to get out of their home country at least once.

I have 3 sisters but thats gonna change in about a month (yes its another girl and yes I'm very excited =P ) i am also the oldest and so therefore the bossiest hehe =) but it's all good and we love hanging out together =)

so yeah... i guess i could elaborate a little bit more about my life but ice cream and a movie calls =)
